Revised PAH Requirement to GS Certification (Details from ITS)
The Board for Technical Work Equipment and Consumer Products (AtAV) has demanded that the consideration of the test for PAH (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) for the GS certification of products has to be mandatory in Nov 2007. ZLS has confirmed a revised PAH requirement, ZEK01.4-08, which supersedes the document ZEK 01.2-08/ZEK 01.3-08 on 29 Nov 2011.
The major revision of ZEK01.4-08 is adding 2 more substances to the existing 16 substances, resulting in 18 substances totally.

Transition Regulations:
- At the award of the GS mark for products this document ZEK01.4-08 is mandatory from 1st July, 2012
onwards. The documents ZEK01.2-08 are getting invalid from 1st July, 2012.
- Those GS certificates issued before 1st July, 2012 not updated with ZEK01.4-08 evaluation will have to
be cancelled on 1st July, 2013.
Changed PAH-Limits under GS Mark from BV >...
